Happy Hanukkah-What do you celebrate?
The 8 day Hanukkah Celebration ends Sunday night, and there still is time to select gifts! Our family celebrates with little gifts each night. After lighting the candles, we hide a little present and then have fun in the hunt. You’re either “hot or cold” searching for it. The gift could be a new toothbrush, a loofa scrub, a bottle of beer, even boxer shorts. The dogs always get a gift too.
Today its the little gifts that count too. Here is what we have for you at Olive Connection...
Ariel’s Honey was written up in the Boston Globe Food Section this week and we were listed,,,yippee (also the radio interview this week with Julie Kramer celebrating us and shopping local is on our website link too. That was totally fun! Love her.)
THIS IS A RETAILERS DREAM SEASON
1- Hanukkah right after Thanksgiving to spread out the business over the month.
2- Weather glorious for shopping. Warm and shhhh (no snow)
We had an inspiring morning this week at Emerson College hearing the case study results from 4 teams of marketing students in Professor Jim Rowean’s class. They have been working on this project since the semester started and gave the most professional presentations.
They analyzed the macro and micro market, the target audience, presented marketing plans for all channels with priorities and graphics. Suggested a calendar for the months ahead and point of view to not be predictable and add value, with brand identity far reaching past our small store. Each team did a great job and we will use many of their suggestions. We have work to do in 2016 for sure…but these kids were awesome! I want to follow their career paths…
Working like mad dogs for the next couple of weeks…laughing because we reverted back to the crock pot like days of old. At least it is new stainless and not old avocado.
SO WHAT’S IN YOUR WALLET? Let us help you open it up and select the perfect gift for the season. Something you love for your gift giving, and add something for yourself.
We aim to please! Happy Holidays and stop in or call. 617-879-9980
