Maple Spiced Cranberry Sauce Recipe

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week! We have enjoyed sharing new ingredients and recipes with our customers, as well as creating special food gifts for them to bring along for the holidays. On Friday, Sweet Rose Bakes shared a delicious Maple Spiced Cranberry Sauce, which we served with cheese and crackers. The sauce gets a nice boost of flavor from our Cranberry Balsamic vinegar!

Maple Spiced Cranberry Sauce

1 (12ounce) bag cranberries, rinsed and picked through to remove wrinkled berries
½ cup maple syrup
½ cup brown sugar
2 3” slices of orange peel
Juice of one orange
1 cinnamon stick
2 tsp. maple spice mix
12 TBL. Cranberry Balsamic vinegar (depending on how tart you like it)
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
Pinch of Ground black pepper or cayenne pepper (optional)
1 TBl. orange zest

Place all the ingredients except the orange zest in a heavy bottom medium pot. Heat on medium heat until sugar dissolves, and cranberries burst, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in zest
